Teaching
College of the Atlantic, Coastal Community Engagement Lead + Researcher
In this role at COA in Bar Harbor, Maine I teach audio, sound, and community engagement courses while mentoring and leading the Mapping Ocean Stories project. My courses rotate each academic year and include Within Living Memory (an intro to audio storytelling class), Audiocraft: Longform Narrative Audio, Sound Studies Practicum, Mapping Ocean Stories, and Navigating Change. Student participants in the Mapping Ocean Stories project work on various community exhibits, radio shows, and independent audio projects under my supervision. Many of those exhibits can be listened to at Maine Sound + Story’s website.

Consulting

The most recent project in Blue Hill, Maine was at George Stevens Academy: “Blue Hill Peninsula Stories: Stories of the Mountain.”
